Recycling of Electrical equipment

It is one of our ongoing aims to reduce waste in the electrical industry where we can and we strive to deliver high quality, environmental and customer focused services. To meet this aim, for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), we will accept back waste items of the same type that you have purchased. *

This service is offered free of charge if you are returning your old appliance or product to us at our showroom address below within 28 days of your purchase.

Lords Electrical

Wigston

The return of any product under WEEE should be during business hours of Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. Your returned product should be safely wrapped for transport and be in a condition considered non-harmful (no CFC gas leaks, no sharp or dangerous edges, no exposed electrical wiring, etc) and by pre-agreed arrangement.

Please contact us in the first instance on 0116 278 5033 if you wish to arrange to return a product under WEEE.

If it is not possible for you to return your product to the above address, then we may still be able to assist if delivery is by our own transport. By prior arrangement before your delivery date, items of WEEE may be collected from your home at the time of delivery. They will then be safely transported and recycled, in line with legislation and good practice.

Please note, there will be a transport charge for these services of £20 for most items, and from £40 for American style refrigeration.

If you would like us to recycle any other small electrical items, these can also be accepted at the above address.

Collected Waste electrical items include:

Domestic Fridges, Freezers and Fridge Freezers

Washing Machines, Dishwashers or Tumble Dryers

Cookers, Ovens, Hobs or Microwaves

Televisions and Audio Equipment

Electrical and electronic waste is increasing at an alarming rate, much of this waste can be recycled and the WEEE regulations aim to encourage everyone to play their part in protecting the environment for future generations and reduce the amount of waste produced. *Lords Electrical reserve the right to refuse recycling of your existing product if they deem this not to be a 'like for like' exchange of ‘new for old’ or may charge an additional fee.
